About the Film
Travis Baldwin is a misunderstood metalhead and high school senior amidst a world steeped in the Satanic panic. When a mysterious entity that is wreaking havoc lures him in, will Travis become what society has labeled him as? Besides a few friends and a newcomer detective, the town eagerly accuses Travis while remaining blind to the true evil in their midst.
Director Biography - Douglas Forrester
A Brooklyn-based filmmaker/film geek from Maryland holding an MFA in Digital Filmmaking from Stony Brook Southampton + Killer Films. My feature length debut is CARRY THE DARKNESS, a coming-of-age supernatural thriller set in 1993 centered around the satanic panic. For me filmmaking is inherently an exercise in empathy. I seek not just to express myself, but to understand and engage with the experiences of others. After all, thats the true magic of movies. If the modern world is a place where nuance goes to die and cynicism reigns, film is the most universal and important artistic medium for fighting back.
